Acer

Origin

Jason Eric Acer was born with an insatiable curiosity and exceptional intellect, nurtured by a family that prioritized academic excellence. While pursuing a legal education, Acer developed a parallel fascination with the mystical arts, sparked by an encounter with a book on ritual magic during his undergraduate years. Although he was primarily a lawyer, his rational, evidence-based worldview clashed with his burgeoning interest in the arcane.

Driven by his meticulous nature, exacerbated by obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), Acer approached ritual magic with an unwavering commitment to precision. He immersed himself in the study and practice of rituals, ensuring every detail was executed flawlessly. This obsession led him to conduct a simple ritual described in the book, intending to debunk it but instead, he experienced a chilling, inexplicable event. During the ritual, the temperature plummeted, flames were extinguished, and a fire erupted from a stack of papers. Despite his desperate attempts, the fire resisted his efforts to extinguish it, only to vanish as suddenly as it had appeared, leaving the papers miraculously unscathed.

Unable to dismiss the event through conventional explanations, Acer conducted exhaustive checks for environmental and psychological factors, consulting experts and testing materials. The persistent, unexplained phenomena he encountered reinforced his belief in the ritual’s power, fueling an obsession with understanding magic’s mechanics and its broader implications. This experience marked the beginning of his deep and intricate involvement with the occult, eventually leading to him to treat it like science, forming theories and belief systems until he created the Theory of Unified Magic.
