Origin
Adam Tanner joined the Agency for the Restriction of Mayhem (A.R.M.) fresh out of college and quickly rose to the rank of agent. Partnered with Dr. Alphonse Olivier Alphonso, the duo traced an unknown energy signature to the Alps, where they discovered a mysterious sphere. On coming into contact with the sphere, Dr. Alphonso’s brain chemistry was altered and he became obsessed with creating a new form of life… Project Alpha.
Suspicious of his partner’s true motivations, Tanner confronted Dr. Alphonso and was mortally wounded. To save his life, A.R.M. transferred Tanner’s consciousness into Project Alpha, a virtually invulnerable and incredibly powerful prototype body created by Alphonso. Continuing to work with A.R.M. as a superhuman agent, Tanner took the code name Adamant, his primary goal to bring the evil Dr. Alpha to justice.

Adamant was created by Mike Exner III and Hany Khattab and first appeared in Adamant #1 (2016).
