Born on December 12, 1777 (December 23, 1777 in the Gregorian calendar) in Saint-Petersburg and died on November 19, 1825 (December 1, 1825 in the Gregorian calendar) in Taganrog, son of Emperor Paul I and Sophie Dorothea of Württemberg, is Emperor of Russia from March 23, 1801 to his death as well as Grand Duke of Finland and King of Poland.
