Anne Boleyn was the second Queen consort of Henry VIII of England from 1533 to 1536. She was executed on charges of adultery, incest, and high treason. There was little factual evidence on any of them but Henry had planned to replace Anne with his mistress Jane Seymour. The execution left the road open for his third marriage.
