He was the spider-powered son of Arácnido, a famous luchador (Mexican wrestler). When a corrupt wrestler named Escorpión refused to help him in a fixed match, Arácnido was severley injured and died later. Arácnido Jr. learns Escorpión was paid-off to let his father get hurt and vowed to never let anyone else suffer at the hands of evil men. Donning a costume inspired by his father’s wrestling mask, Jr. uses his powers to guard the innocent and helpless in Mexico City.
