Creation
Aramis is a mystical hero who was created by Henry Vogel and originally published by Guild Comics. Later the character became property of Hero Comics, he premiered in Southern Knights #1 – The Graphic Novel.
History
Aramis Merrow is a teenage sorcerer who hales from the 17th century, living a life of a young happy teen with his loving mystical family. However he would be magically placed in suspended animation by his parents Cathrine and Daniel when a witch hunt attacked his coven.
Aramis would lay in this mystically frozen state for several centuries until by happenstance the 21st century when new owners moved into his families estate. He was awakened by Kristin Austin while she was exploring the house her fellow teammates of the Southern Knights had moved into. Aramis quickly attacked both Kristin and Connie out of confusion until they calmed him down and would befriend them. Awakened into a completely foreign time, his family long gone, and his youth still retained. Still trying to adjust to modern-day life, as the only non-founding member of the Southern Knights Aramis became a important part of the team as a force of justice.
A running joke of the series is that despite his participating in nearly all of the Knights’ missions, often playing the key role to their victories, he is persistently denied membership on the grounds that their work is too dangerous for someone his age. He is finally given official membership sometime later.
Powers and Abilities
His sizable magical powers include flight, scrying, summoning illusions, mystical shields, hypnotism, animating statues and bolts of magical energy.
