Origin
Arashi develops her own technology to defend Japan. She once battled Doctor Polaris alongside The Ray and Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner). The threesome defeated Doctor Polaris and saved Japan from a giant tsunami. But Arashi was nearly killed by Doctor Polaris, who also broke her arm. Fortunately, she has recovered, and still actively defends her country.
