Origin
Ard Rennat was critically injured while fighting in deep space and plummeted to the planet Zintha where he died. His power ring was passed to Lysandra of Zintha but due to her religious vows, Lysandra could not leave her planet. The Guardians of the Universe solved this problem by granting a second ring to Spol of Cyc, whose job was to patrol the remainder of space sector 47.

There are no known further accounts of Ard Rennat’s service in the Corps. He is memorialized in the Crypts of the Green Lantern Corps on Oa.
