Argos is a general in the Atlantean army who is popular among the troops and extremely loyal to his monarch, Namor the First. He is not referred to as a Warlord, like Krang and Seth, but he appears to function at the same level, leading troops and having a voice in council. When Namor had to leave Atlantis surrounded by S.H.I.E.L.D. ships, to search for an Atlantean terrorist cell on the surface world, he left the city’s defense in Argos’ capable hands. He not only had to keep the precarious situation with S.H.I.E.L.D. from exploding, but deal with a coup attempt from Zoran and Vayos.
While loyal, Argos doesn’t hesitate to express his worries about Namor’s decisions. Especially his choice to destroy Atlantis and disperse the Atlanteans.
