Somehow this original Neanderthal is able to possess men of the modern age, transforming them into his brute figure. He claims to be the strongest man that has ever lived. He is the “symbol of mankind’s sheer animal brutality” (Thor 1:131).
Armak first appeared when he took over a man during a seance. It seems that he was simply looking for a fight. He had just toppled Hercules, when Thor entered the battle. He released the man he was possessing, when Thor knocked him out of an elevator of a high-rise building under construction.
