Brief History
Arnold is the husband of Susanna Dane, the mother of Polaris. Arnold was a charter pilot. During a flight to Las Vegas with his wife Susanna he confronted her with the knowledge that he knew that Polaris was not his child. The fight between Arnold and Susanna upset Lorna causing her powers to develop and she tore about the plane seemingly killing both Arnold and his wife Susanna.
Lorna was subsequently adopted by Arnold’s sister and her husband who were under the belief that lorna was their niece.
Creation
Arnold Dane first appeared in X-Factor #243, although Polaris had mentioned him many times before already, as early as Uncanny X-men 49 and 50 from the late 1960’s.
