Artemis Fowl I was the head of a giant criminal enterprise. After the fall of communist Russia, he decided to ship 250,000 cans of cola to Murmansk. The Russian mafia didn’t agree with that so they sent a missile and destroyed the ship. Artemis Fowl II devoted himself to criminal activities.
