Origin
As a child, Daniel Tyler suffered from asthma. Feeling that the whole world should suffer from breathing problems like him, Tyler created a monstrous costume and became a new threat to the world. Now the Asthma Monster, he uses his “Aller-Gun” to inflict asthma symptoms on his victims.
Creation
The Asthma Monster was created by Louise Jones Simonson and Alex Saviuk. He first appeared in Captain America Meets the Asthma Monster!, a story specifically aimed at those who suffer from asthma.
Major Story Arcs
Captain America Meets the Asthma Monster!
The Asthma monster has began his crime-spree, spreading asthma symptoms on unsuspecting civilians using his advanced tech. The Asthma monster attempts to interrogate the local town physician (Dr. David) into revealing the location of his inhaler stocks. However, Captain America arrives and manages to defeat Tyler with the help of Ruth and John (Two kids who were the only ones not affected from the asthma symptoms. Due to them having took their medication previously).
Return of the Asthma Monster!
After The Allergen Gang break the Asthma Monster out of prison, Tyler sets out to take revenge on John and Ruth. Breaking into John and Ruth’s house, they set up traps for the kids and Captain America. Captain America manages to defeat the Allergen Gang and Tyler is left helpless. Tyler then reforms, seeing the error of his ways.
