When Asuka Mishima found a stranger in her neighbour Aoi’s apartment, she mistook him for a burglar and threatened him with a baseball bat. As it turned out, this wasn’t a criminal, but Aoi’s brother Haruto, who was none too pleased with this treatment. While this first meeting ensured a rocky relationship to begin with, they became friends, partly helped along by their mutual friend Kyosuke Kazama.
While Asuka aimed to help Haruto when he needed it, she didn’t hesitate to give him a piece of her mind. She was critical of his treating his new classmates at their school like a nuisance, and didn’t react well when she learned that he had moved to Tokyo in pursuit of his former girlfriend who had dumped him. Despite this, the two grew closer as time went on, and when things didn’t work out with his ex, he and Asuka began dating.
Asuka originally hails from Fukushima, and tries to hide her natural accent, but often slips into it when agitated.
She goes on to make further appearances in Seo Kouji’s later works, Fuuka and Hitman.
