After five years in deep space, the Prairie Drifter is nearing the end of its long voyage…but it is not the end planned by Captain Atlanta Watts…nor is it the promised land of the Wailers, the cargo of settlers on board….when the stars go out and giant snowflakes appear in their place, Atlanta heads out on a shuttlecraft to discover what they are. Encased in the ice are burned bodies and what appear to be devils.
Taking one of the frozen devil bodies back aboard, the ship’s doctor finds a handful of living cells from which he clones two babies – one blond haired and good-natured (Amtrak), the other an evil Satyr (The Destroyer).
