Atomic Mouse takes magic pills called U-235 which grant him super powers such as super strength, speed, and flight. His arch enemy is Count Gatto ( Gatto is Italian for cat ). Atomic Mouse had a popular run in comic strips and comic books during the 1950’s, and the comparison to Mighty Mouse is obvious. However the kids of that time enjoyed reading about Atomic Mouse and his popularity remained for approximately 7 years under Charlton. Atomic Mouse’s status lapsed into the public domain, and AC published reprint stories as back ups in a few of their titles. Currently, it appears another company, Shanda Fantasy Arts may have fully licensed the character and they’ve changed his origin and stories from the original Charlton Comics stories.
