Aya is a classmate of Sana’s in Kodocha. Her character mostly exists in the background, until the 3rd volume, in which she admits in front of the whole class that she likes Tsuyoshi. While at this time, Tsuyoshi still likes Sana, Akito tells Aya that if she gives Tsuyoshi a present, he’ll probably fall for her. So Aya gives Tsuyoshi some homemade cookies, and offers her comfort to him after his parents’ divorce. Tsuyoshi immediately falls in love with Aya and they begin dating, and they stay together throughout the series.
