BIOGRAPHY:
Barin was a young soldier and brave as a part of a fighting unit. He was recruited for the Green Lantern Corps by Boodikka of Bellatrix. Although he would have been a credit to the Corps, Barin was not ready to fight unaided. He was found by Kilowog after he had been swarmed by space mongrels. The attack overwhelmed Barin, and he lapsed into a comatose state. The injured Green Lantern was brought to Oa, where he was connected to life support systems. During recovery, he believed himself to be the Green Lantern assigned by the Guardians of the Universe to guard the Gates of Hell. His mind replayed an endless battle against the demons. Since the destruction of Oa by Kyle Rayner, Barin had come into his own as an individual and as a Green Lantern Corpsman. He died either before or during the Sinestro Corps War as was memorialized within the Crypts of Oa.
Blackest Night
During the Blackest Night, Barin, along many other Fallen Lanterns was raised by a black power ring and became a Black Lantern.
