While not senile like Mermaid Man, Barnacle Boy is no where near as competent at crime-fighting as he once was. He is grouchy, grumpy, and easily annoyed. He also has little patience for Spongebob and Patricks attempts fight crime with him and Mermaid Man. He once got tired of being called Barnacle Boy and Mermaid Man treating him as a little boy, being as he put it, “I’m so old I’ve got hair growing out of the wrinkles on my liver spots!”, and briefly became the supervillian Barnacle Man to get the respect he felt he deserved. He often sits around and watches TV with Mermaid Man.
