Barney Custer

Barney Custer

Barney Custer first appeared in Edgar Rice Burroughs‘ 1914 story “The Mad King.” He looks enough like his distant relative, King Leopold of Lutha, that he was able to take his place. Eventually, Barney did become the King of Lutha. He and his sister, Victoria Custer, are also friends of Tarzan, and have visited his African estate.
