Bio

A Prussian nobleman who was a favourite of Hitler and was made a concentration camp commandant. A ruthless administrator, he incurred the hatred of his prisoners and was one day assaulted by a recently arrived inmate. A vial of acid was thrown in his face, destroying his features. Hitler ordered his top surgeons to repair the damage the best they could. Then, hoping to compensate for the facial damage, Hitler had his scientists execute a long developed plan that tapped the commandant’s latent psychic powers. These new abilites include superhuman strength, invulnerability, optical energy beams and the ability to fly. However, each of these abilities are manifested one at a time and only with training is he able to incorporate them together. After months of experimentation, the baron was transformed into a human fighting machine, a new tool for Hitler’s plan of world conquest.

Baron Blitzkrieg battled the All Star Squadron and Wonder Woman on several occasions. The Baron meet his end during the events of Infinite Crisis when his head is blown off by heat vision in a confrontation with Superboy-Prime. Baron Blitzkrieg has been identified as one of the deceased entombed below the Hall of Justice.

Since then, a new Baron(ess) Blitzkrieg has appeared as a member of the Fourth Reich. The group battled the Justice Society of America and Blitzkrieg was soundly defeated by Jay Garrick, the original Flash.

Powers

Baron Blitzkrieg had enhanced strength, agility and endurance. He wore body armor that offered some protection from physical attack. He had weak heat vision and he could fly.
