Baroness Drang

Origin

When she was young, Drang was taught to hunt and survive the rough surroundings of her father’s domain. He was ruthless and threatened her more than once to leave her to die. He had already strung up her mother. As was tradition, she was destined to fight him when she turned 15. But the night before their fight, she slipped the poisonous belladonna into his wine. She easily killed him, beheaded him and became Baroness Drang, the ruler of a town called The Feud of the Seven Gallows. She created the First Law for its citizens, without telling them what the law was. But breaking the law was punishable by death. Thus its citizens lived in fear.

Fighting Red Sonja

When Red Sonja came upon her town with Sitha, the Baroness had Red Sonja captured and captivated in her dungeon. Although food was brought to her, Red Sonja wouldn’t eat for seven days, because she smelled the poison. After seven days, Drang thought Red Sonja was sufficiently weakened and fought her in her arena. Drang proofed to strong for Red Sonja in hand-to-hand combat. It was then that Drang revealed what the First Law was: “Never piss her off”. With the help of Sitha and the rebel Kebra, Red Sonja created a diversion for Drang. Long enough for Red Sonja to find her sword. Sonja hewed Drang in half, and left her to die. The final blow was dealt by her servant Deerah, who tore out Drang’s heart.
