Creation
Originally created for the Japanese show Denji Sentai Megaranger in 1997 as a minor villain appearing in episodes 9-10 as a monster known as Bat Nezire and later Neo-Bat Nezire. When the show was adapted into Power Rangers In Space, the character was renamed Batarax, appearing in episode twenty-six as a minor villain that the Power Rangers faced.
In Denji Sentai Megaranger he was voiced by Hisaya Ishiguro and in Power Rangers In Space voiced by Richard Cansino.
Tv Show
Batarax made his first appearance as a guitar player in the Onyx Tavern. Batarax later appeared as a villain of the week character that fought against the Space Rangers when Astronema invaded Angel Grove to draw out the Power Rangers. Batarax was quickly defeated by the Power Rangers Megazord. After his defeat, he returned to the Onyx Tavern where he currently resides.
