Lt. Michael Batterson is the leader of the Section 12 retrieval team. When he was in the military he volunteered for a top secret strength enhancement procedure using steroids. The experiment failed and it transformed him into a creature of enormous strength and minimal intelligence known as Batter. His condition can be treated, but Batterson will slowly revert back to the monstrous Batter over the course of several hours.
