Bette was a mutant and a prostitute. She had a home and a workplace at a brothel called the X-Ranch. Her mutant powers where the ability to search a person’s mind for their deepest desires and allow the person to experience them in their own mind. She lived a relative happy life until the mutant-hating group of soldiers named the Church of Humanity came and attacked the X-Ranch. She was right in the middle of a ‘session’ when they came through the doors. At first Bette tried to ease the soldiers down with her mutant powers. The soldiers however managed to outwit her and she was attacked and killed on the spot.
