Makes his first appearance in the Luke Cage series. Big Ben Donovan, though just a human being, managed to floor Luke Cage. Luke Cage still prevailed in the end, but not without recognizing Donovan’s strength. Donovan would later become a short ally of Cage‘s.
Later it is revealed that Donovan is responsible for the death of the original Thunderbolt’s(Bill Carver) little brother. Thunderbolt seeks revenge and justice is served.
He makes another appearance going up against Daredevil

He appears in Netflix’ Daredevil as a lawyer of Wilson Fisk. He is somewhat reluctant to do illegal acts for Fisk, but he is complicit in everything Fisk is planning. He is a middle aged man and doesn’t look to pose any physical threat.

He appears in Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes as one of Crossfire‘s henchman. He and the rest of his team battle Luke Cage and Iron Fist for the life of Cassie Lang.
