Not a lot is known about Big Breeda’s life, however like her daughter Big Barda, she was one of Apokolips’s greatest warriors. The people of Apokolips were so impressed that she was made to bear children to be raised, trained and used as warriors as formidable and as ruthless as Breeda herself had proven to be. It was at this time and for this purpose that Big Barda was conceived and born. Breeda spent little time with her daughter, Barda, and was not a conventional mother, however, because Barda was taken away when she was still a very small girl to be raised and trained in one of Granny Goodness‘ orphanages.
