Black Betty, alias of Elizabeth Rowan, was a nice and smart woman who in her teens was a witch apprentice from expert magician Jeremiah Cain. However she had choose not following that path and opted for a more peaceful, less dark existence. However she had enough experience and knowledge about magic items, customs and rites to attract the attention of Jackson King who recruited her in a new Stormwatch initiative called Post Human Division, as magic consultant. Her expertise had help heroes to defeat the Ferryman on at least twot occasions.
Power and abilities
Depiste never having completed her magical instruction, Black Betty knows enough about magic to deal with dangerous demons, wizards and other magical menaces. She had her body and home protected with magical seals and tattoos and had a will trained to resist any kind of possession either magical or from other humans and non human entities.
