Origin
As a young girl her village was destroyed, its inhabitants slaughtered by a mysterious and powerful figure. Since then she swore vengeance and has hunted for information and clues as to who is responsible, hoping to get her revenge. Eventually Black Lotus would track leads to The Temple, home of the Dario Cueto’s Lucha Underground fighting tournament. After confronting Dario about the death of her village, the sly and manipulative owner would protest innocence and feign ignorance. Black Lotus would later be abducted by Dragon Azteca and trained to be a luchador to better assist her wish of revenge.
Against Dragon Azteca’s advice, she would preemptively attempt to find that very revenge by heading back to the temple. She would find herself confined in the same room as Dario Cueto’s monstrous brother Matanza Cueto, who was also locked up. The manipulative Dario would seem to convince Black Lotus that it was in fact Dragon Azteca who was responsible for her villages destruction, and then she would appear to ally herself with him, and even become an enforcer of sorts for him. She would also end up killing Dragon Azteca. At the end of Season One of Lucha Underground, Dario is forced to flee the Temple, and Black Lotus would help him and his brother relocate.
