A Skrull planted in the team Desert Stars for the Secret Invasion. Â The Skrull was seen through his disguise by the new 3-D Man and eventually killed by him, as well. Â After the recovery of those heroes who were replaced, it was revealed that Blacksmith was the only Skrull infiltrator without an actual Earth counterpart.
Creation
Blacksmith was created by Dan Slott, Christos N. Gage and Stefano Caselli in 2008 and first appeared in Avengers: The Initiative # 16.Â
Powers & Abilities
Blacksmith is a shape shifting Skrull that possessed enhanced strength and formidable fighting skills. As Blacksmith, he carried a large war hammer and a shield.
