Origin

As a young girl Belinda Cosgrove would have scary precognitive dreams, that would end up coming true, many times, the next day. When her grandmother died, her mom came to her room to tell her and Belinda was crying. He mom thought she had possibly overheard the conversation she was having with her aunt, but Belinda simply stated, “She said she loves us goodbye.” Her mom began to cry and held her tightly. Though her mom loved her dearly, this was the kind of thing that drove her dad away, from her. He had never wanted her and had already left them for another woman year ago and started another family, keeping his distance from Belinda and her mom.

Her mom did remarry, but her step dad wouldn’t win any awards for dad of the year either. He was either drunk or high and led her mom down a similar path, and while he never did anything to her, he made it clear it wasn’t out of the cards if the opportunity arose. And eventually, like dad, he cheated on her mom. Belinda knew he would, she’d even seen the woman’s face in a vision when she touched his pants to throw them in the wash. Instead she through all his color clothes in the bleach water. But her mom forgave him and unlike her biological dad he stayed. It became pattern of him cheating then begging for forgiveness, her mom started cheating out of revenge and he would yell and scream and punch holes in walls. The whole marriage got more and more toxic, until they finally broke up and he moved out. With all this going on Belinda’s focus was money, so she could get out.

Belinda worked at restaurants and retail stores, when she turned eighteen she became a stripper for a while claiming to be saving money for college, but she had a plan. She made enough to move out and rent a storefront, where she started Madam Blue’s Psychic Readings. Through meditation and mental training, Belinda had learned to focus her power and in fact could get intense post and precognitive impressions by just touching a person. Her readings were accurate enough to make most skeptics take pause and much more precise than any cold read. For more flair she added Tarot cards. While she didn’t really believe in them she would simply make something up based around the impressions she got off the person.

Belinda had many repeat customers and became very popular via word of mouth. She was able to move out of her apartment and decide One day she bought a Ouija board to add to the ambience. Using it as part of her act, people loved it and wanted to work with it more and more. At first it was a gimmick, but she began to feel power from the board and presences around her. She began to truly communicate with spirits. While very lucrative during one of her sessions she felt a very powerful presence. It was so dark and foreboding she had to stop the session. Whatever the entity was it hung around and got so bad she didn’t want to enter her own establishment. One day she did enter the building and it had been ransacked, but no one had entered. She checked her security footage and it was all corrupted, but what little she could make out was seeing papers fly and items knocked over seeming by themselves. She got supposed experts to come take a look, but they weren’t able to accomplish anything and one man simply stepped into the establishment, looked around and said, “Nope,” and made a hasty exit. When asked what she should do he would only say, “Leave!”

Belinda had savings, but could only last a few months she had to get back to business. A friend of hers, Lucinda, was heavily into spiritualism and demonology. She didn’t want to bring her into this, but when Lucinda heard about it, she was excited. She came to the storefront and and almost immediately began to communicate with the entity. It was evil and feeding off of Belinda’s fear. Lucinda got the entity to tell her it’s name then using a trapping spell, caught it a jar. When Belinda asked her what she was going to do with it, she proclaimed with a smile, “Well, it’s mine now.” Belinda was fascinated! She wanted this power. Lucinda told Belinda that she was a Lilith worshipper and she might be able to introduce her to her teacher. Belinda was in! She was introduced to Nightevil and told all about the Sisterhood’s beliefs and ideas. It all sounded unbelievable, but she wanted to enter this world of magic and mysticism.

As time went on Lucinda joined the Breeder program. Belinda had a bad premonition about it, but Lucinda went ahead with it anyway. Breeders had top tier midwives and incredible healing factors, but Lucinda had already had two children for the program so she wasn’t worried. Belinda went into labor and all was going well, but something went wrong and her body stopped responding the hyper birthing process. She was in great pain and even though they tried to help her, her vitals went out of control and though the baby did live Lucinda died. The child was called Damious and he was completely human. Normally a human male child would be sacrificed to the goddess, but Nightevil knew there was something more to the child. Belinda was made the child’s caretaker.

As time went on she realized that Damious was growing in power and was to be given to one of the sisters and married off when he turned eighteen. On his seventeenth birthday she seduced him and hand fasted with him. This was done in secret to both protect him and so she would have a claim on him, though she made it very clear he was not to tell anyone about the ceremony. At this time Belinda was an administrator in the Breeder program and highly regarded. No one ever acknowledged what she had done, but on several different occasions Nightevil and Akasha both invited her to observe tortures and bloody sacrifices done to members who had betrayed the Sisterhood in someway. And discussion on how the sisters were to be fair and honest with one another never seek to usurp the order of things. Belinda never made her claim. She is still a member of the Sisterhood, still in good standing and still alive.

Power and Abilities

Belinda’s pre and post cognitive powers have grown immensely. Now she actually can read Tarot cards, has a formidable cosmic awareness and danger sense. She can use astral projection to aid in her cosmic awareness and learned illusion casting from Akasha herself. On top of this she can do basic spell casting and ritual magic. Belinda has basic karate training and has taken up stage magic and escape artistry as a hobby courtesy of Patrick Hattrick, a student of Damious.
