Origin
The Bog Lurk was a supernatural creature that lived in the swampland/bogs near Lonely Street. He was eventually summoned by the Zombie Priest and forced to eat the brain of G-Man Smith. Doing such gave the Bog Lurk the personality and memories of Smith, causing him to want revenge on The Goon for “killing” him.
Creation
The Bog Lurk was created by Eric Powell for ‘The Goon’ comic series.
Major Story Arcs
The Goon Volume Two
The Bog Lurk is seen in his swampland before being summoned by the Zombie Priest via a magical incantation. When he arrives at the Zombie Priest’s lair he is bound to a table and forced to eat the brain of G-Man Smith, a former ally of the Priest who had information that he needed in order to defeat the Goon. Due to the Bog Lurk’s supernatural “powers” so to speak, eating the brain of someone (or something) will transfer the memories and personality of that thing into the Bog Lurk, thus transforming him into a G-Man Smith hybrid. He then attempts to hunt down the Goon to find out why he had killed him, and while he’s able to find the Goon he isn’t able to best him in a brawl, resulting in the departure of the Bog Lurk from Lonely Street.
Powers & Abilities
The Bog Lurk has the power to absorb the memories and personality of someone (or something) by eating it’s brain. It also has a low level of superhuman strength and impressive agility.
