Origin
Coming from inside the mountains, the Bergbokken (Mountainbucks) were very jealous of the people living in the valley. The valley people had fertile ground, while the Bergbokken had to live high up in the snowy and icy Himalayan mountain called Montladsu. They couldn’t leave the mountain, so they appointed the childlike mountain gaint Bhébhé their king, hoping he would help them achieve their goal. Bhébhé kidnapped professor Barabas and brought him back to Bokbaard. Bokbaard had devised a plan to use a sunray device to set the valley afire. He forced professor Barabas to make him such a device. But through the intervention of Suske, Wiske and Lambik, Bhébhé realized the true plan of Bokbaard. When professor Barabas heard of the plan, he conviced them that the same sunray device could be used to melt the snow on the mountains, making it fertile. Giving up on his plan for destruction, Bokbaard and the Bergbokken lived in peace with Bhébhé on the high mountains.
