Her father, a famous former boxer disappointed that he has no sons is surprised when his daughter take up the gloves, much to the laugher of everyone who knows them.
But not nearly as surprised when she proves to have a talent for the sport!
Turned into a movie the director turns the story from an action / adventure story into a comedy / romance / action / adventure story when a rival for a the affections of boxer with another girl and unable to outdo her in looks or talent Clara decides to impress him by taking up boxing as well.
Scared to death of the idea of really doing it, and laughed at by everyone she proves in the end to have a talent for it.
Boksingera in the end does not get the guy, but she does gain a confidence she never knew before.
In the film based on the komik the character is played more for laughs than in the comic, as well as aged 6 years.
