Bondrewd

Origin

Bondrewd originally came from outside the island where the Abyss was located and had several criminal records prior to becoming a Delver.

Adopting and raising Prushka

Bondrewd adapts his daughter, Prushka, from one of his delvers after the child as a baby was accidentally raised to higher ground in the Abyss, badly injuring the child. Bondrewd would later on give Prushka a pet, which finally led to the child’s recovery from her trauma and she finally said her first words.

Adopting Nanachi and Mitty

Bondrewd is originally seen meeting with several children, including Nanachi and Mitty, above the Abyss, promising them better opportunities in the future if they decided to work and live with him. After many children volunteer to stay with him, he brings them downwards to his fortress known as Idofront in the Fifth Layer of the Abyss. From the moment they’ve arrived in Idofront, Bondrewd had placed the children in rooms located within the fortress while occasionally summoning a few children to leave their rooms although they never return.

After Mitty disappears, Nanachi goes searching for her throughout the fortress until she stumbles into a laboratory in which he or she finds Mitty, trapped in some sort of small experimental glass elevator. Nanachi is then approached from behind by Bondrewd, who thanks him or her for saving him the time of summoning him or her for his latest experiment. He then places Nanachi in a object similar to the one Mitty was trapped in and had them placed next together. He then explains the point of his new experiment on whether lowering two subjects downwards the Abyss and raising them up together while having a larger part of the Curse of the Abyss be forced onto one of the subjects could lessen the Curse’s effect on the other subject.
