Boxey with his mother Serina are survivors from Caprica who escaped from the cylon warships who attacked their world when they and others were celebrating the supposed new age of peace in the universe. During the attack, Boxey and his daggit named Muffey, were attacked, then Serina saved him but the daggit was killed by falling debris. Later they entered to the Rising Star.

Now in he Battlestar Galactica, Boxey (In shock for the lost of his daggit) hasn’t sleep or eaten since the bombing. So Serina asked Flight commander Apollo for help. Apollo offered Boxey to become a warrior and gave him one of his ranking pins. Later Apollo asked to Doctor Wilker to build a robotic daggit (The Muffey II) and give it to Boxey. Wilker used an image of Boxey to program the droid to respond to him and Boxey (as a “officer”) was ordered to train the “Muffey II” to act as a real daggit.

Boxey went with Apollo, Serina and Muffey II to the expedition to Carillon, in search for tylium deposits (some kind of fuel they needed). There Boxey´s new mission was to keep his eyes on the read-out. While they were doing it they had a chat about how racist the cylons are (Though Boxey described them as “idiots”.) Then the indicator detected an old tylium mine under them. Muffey II escaped and Boxey followed him, then he was “captured” by the Ovions (The Carillon’s habitants, a humanoid-insect race). Apollo and Serina were captured too and joined with Boxey who was eating with Boomer, Starbuck and Muffey II in the Ovions’ casino.

Muffey II escaped once again and Boxey followed him to the lower level of he mine, where he was found by a cylon centurion. Apollo and Starbuck saved him and discovered that the young Ovions ate the human players of the casino. Then they defeated the cylon centurions and escaped.

Serina and Captain Apollo got married so Apollo became Boxey’s stepson. Then Serina was killed by a cylon centurion in Kobol.

Boxey grew up and became Captain Troy, a Lieutenant, Colonial Warrior and Viper pilot. After a voyage of supposed 30 years, the Galactica discovered the thirteenth colony (The Earth) and Troy was one of the first to interact with Earth during 1980 (in Earth calendar).

Boxey is the son of a Colonial Armistice officer at Armistice Station killed in the opening scenes. He escaped from the Cylon attack in Caprica when his aunt gives him up to a Raptor manned by Valerii and Agathon.
