Origin
To wage war on vampires, Shadow Colonel required a good source of wooden stakes. He cut a piece off of Man-Thing and grew Boy-Thing for that very purpose. After the Shadow Colonel’s team was defeated by the Avengers, Boy-Thing defected and bonded with Blade, serving the same purpose for him as he did for Shadow Colonel.
Creation
Boy-Thing debuted in Avengers (2018) #12 by Jason Aaron and Cory Smith.
Powers
Plant Control: He has shown control over plant matter, which he is also comprised of. He is able to stretch vines from his body to snare and entangle. However, it is unknown how many of Man-Thing’s abilities were passed down
- Materialization: He also produces wooden stakes, already shaped and sharpened, during his partnership with Blade.
