Blythe Stanhope van Renssaeler contracted the Wild Card Virus in 1947 when she accidently absorbed the mind and memory of her husband. This experience left her mentally unstable.
Doctor Tachyon taught Renssaeler to confine the darker personality of her husband deep within herself. Renssaeler and Tachyon quickly began a sexual relationship.
She was asked to become one of the Four Aces by her godfather Archibald Holmes. As Brain Trust she worked to promote American interests across the globe from 1947 to 1950.
In 1950, Brain Trust cracked under the pressure of testifying before the House Un-American Activities Committee and began naming Aces pulled from Tachyon’s memory. Tachyon shut her mind down to prevent her testimony; he inadvertently plunged her into madness.
The Four Aces were discredited by the House Un-American Activities Committee and disbanded. Brain Trust died in a sanitarium in 1953.
