Presumably created by Alex Ross for alternate future story Kingdom Come, where they first appeared, to date their only main continuity appearance was in JLA Annual 1. Their appearance there was very similar to their Kingdom Come milieu; they threatened a populated area before being confronted by the Justice League and were taken out by a member of the Bat-family.
