Origin
Bram’s parents were occultists. They wanted a child that would serve as a vessel for Mephisto. Under a black moon, they had sex on a hanged man’s grave in front of other occultists. This ceremony allowed Mephisto to graft Bagra-ghul to Bram while he was in the womb. During his birth, his parents and hospital staff were ripped apart and put back together as a monument to Mephisto, the trademark of Bagra-ghul. Bram would bounce from orphanage to orphanage as Bagra-ghul attacked more and more people until eventually Bram was put into the care of social worker, Ada Flores.
Creation
Bram would first appear in Ghost Rider/Wolverine: Weapons of Vengeance – Alpha by Benjamin Percy and Geoff Shaw

Weapons of Vengeance
As a young adult, Bram would be taken in by the Weapon Plus program. Father Pike, as part of Weapon Hellfire, made a deal with Bram to free him of the demonic entity, so that Pike could control the demon for his own deeds. Unfortunately, after Bram had been freed of the burden, he had felt empty inside. He desperately wanted the demon back. When Bagra-ghul realized that any body Weapon Plus would bring him would fight back, he willingly returned to Bram. However, Ghost Rider was able to use his damnation stare on them, turning them into a stone monument, not unlike what Bagra does to his own victims.
