Origin
Born and raised in Emond’s Field, Bran has spent his whole life in the Two Rivers. At some point he took over the running of the Winespring Inn. He was also elected mayor of the town, a position he has held largely unopposed since being elected. He married Marin, the cook at the Inn, and had five daughters by her, the youngest of whom is Egwene al’Vere. Â Â
Creation
Bran was created by Robert Jordan for his book series The Wheel of Time, making his first appearance in the first book of the series, The Eye of the World. He made his first appearance in comics in Robert Jordan’s The Wheel of Time: Dragonmount #0, written by Jordan and Chuck Dixon and illustrated by Chase Conley. Â Â

The Eye of the WorldÂ
Bran participates in a meeting of the Village Council to determine how the village will deal with the news brought by merchant Padan Fain about the recent war in Ghealdan. He supports  the formation of  night watches in the town. He helps to protect the town and its inhabitants during the Trolloc invasion, and afterwards helps to put out the fires and tend to the wounded. He allows people who have been injured to convalesce in the Inn, including Tam al’Thor. His daughter Egwene leaves the village soon after, along with three village boys, the gleeman, and the mysterious Aes Sedai and her Warder who had recently arrived in the village. Â
