The comic mixed up Furman Vox and Brick Pardo names. In the comic Brick Pardo doesn’t have a huge role and can only be identified by similar events that happened in the movie. In the movie though, Brick Pardo is the hulking brute who is killed in the sewer by Gibson Rickenbacker, while in the comic that character is given the name of Furman Vox.
