Brother Lysander was among the one-hundred man company under Captain Leonatos sent to stop a Ork WAAGH from destroying an important Warp beacon for the Imperium of Man. When Leonatos lost the legendary Blade Encarmine – a sacred relic to the Blood Angels – he was exiled and sent into a Bloodquest to recover the artifact along with the ten survivors from the original company. Lysander was viewed with doubt among the most chiseled members of their band due to his lack of experience in combat compared to his peers, even though he already lived for one hundred years at this point. Nonetheless, he was loyal and brave following his commander deep into the Eye of Terror, where their group was stuck in the Daemon planet of Eidolon. By the end, Leonatos, Lysander and Sargeant Cloten were the only survivors from their ten band and managed to retrieve the Blade Encarmine. Using a Warp portal to return to the material plane, Lysander and Cloten took the blade while Leonatos remained behind to buy time for his brothers to escape, forming one last stand against the Daemon army that followed behind. Upon returning to their homeworld on Baal, they announced to leave on a bloodquest of their own and return to Eidolon to bring Captain Leonatos back.
