The twin brother of Kolat and servant of Utor, Brutas was a huge kryptonian in the dark ages of that world. Angry with the death of his brother he wanted to kill him, but it was dissuaded by his master, who had a more insidious idea. An idea which put the stronger El at their mercy.
However when El was prisioner he was contacted by Rao, an vision than Brutas shared. Terrfied by the vision, Brutas understood the error of his ways. So when El was being tortured and in danger of die under a rain of arrows, Brutas make an heroic sacrifice, puting himself in harm’s way and saving the life of EL. An sacrifice which give him, at the end, a meaning to his life.
