Creation
Bullwinkle J. Moose was created by Jay Ward and his assistant Alex Anderson for the 1959â1964 animated TV series Rocky and His Friends. When the series switched networks from ABC to NBC, its name was changed to The Bullwinkle Show. He was voiced by Bill Scott.

- Bullwinkle (or at least a version of the character) appears as “Agent Moose” along side “Agent Squirrel” in the movie Boris and Natasha
- Bullwinkle is mentioned by Kent Brockman on the Simpsons when describing a Macy’s day parade. His antler was also briefly seen. Also, the main character’s names ( Homer J. Simpson)
contain the familiar J(ay) based on Bullwinkle’s middle name–a reference to the producer of Bullwinkle and Rocky (Jay Ward). - Bullwinkle appeared in the 2000 movie The adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle
