Origin
Captain Dan Weaver is a member of the U.S. military. After the invasion, he believes his wife and child to be lost and that he has nothing left to live for. He becomes commander of the 2nd Mass., which puts his military experience to good use. Although some in his command are former civilians, the captain has little love for the civilians in his care, always putting the cause of the military first. He keeps his personal loss to himself, channeling it into rage against the Mechs and Skitters.
