Captain Easy was a laconic tough guy, solider of fortune and “American Swashbuckler” from the South who started out as the side-kick of comic, little fellow out for adventure, Washington “Wash” Tubbs, but soon took over the strip as it turned into one of the first all adventure newspaper strips.
There would only be a few comics with him in as the staring such as Famous Funnies, The Funnies, Dell 4-Color and from Standard Comics Captain Easy Comics.
In newspapers however his adventures would run from 1933 until 1987.
Fantagraphics published a hardcover collection of his adventures in 2009
