Captain Jonathan Grimes believed he could whip Superman into an ideal soldier for the U.S. Army, so he convinced the Army to draft the man of steel. Superman thwarted Grimes by getting promoted to General in record time, but Superman took pity on Grimes and had him promoted to Major.
