Origin
Chase Black grew up rich and spoiled. When he was eight years old an arsonist set his house on fire, and he was only survivor. In a mask he tracked down the arsonist. He then used his parents inheritance and royalties to go into hero business while the groundskeeper Ash Devane became his assistant.
Major Story Arcs
Chase grew power hungry and nasty over the years and treated Ash badly. One time when voyeuring on some women, he had tied a rope around a gas main. The rope was noticed by Bob Ryder, who untied it so an explosion wouldn’t occur. This however dropped Chase from the roof and he died on impact. Bob took Chase’s body back to his house, where he and ash disposed of it in a cavern on his property.
