Trapped on part of a collapsed bridge, Chuck formed a group with the other people that got stuck. Fortunately, they were cut off from the Crossed virus. One day, they were visited by survivalists Morgan and Olivia, who divided the group into smaller pieces so they could manage them.
Chuck was sent to the mainland for foraging food. His group got attacked by the Crossed and he got infected. As one of the Crossed, he returned to the collapsed bridge. He got stabbed in the brain by Morgan.
